We Renew Media

Annual reports

Based in Haarlem, the Netherlands, RNW Media is an international media development organization dedicated to harnessing the power of public interest and independent digital media to uphold human rights and advance the public good. We empower media makers to deliver rights-based, factual content to targeted audiences and thrive in the dynamic digital landscape. By amplifying their reach and impact, we challenge audiences to make informed decisions, take action for positive change, and assert their rights.

We believe that access to accurate, pluralistic information can raise awareness, reshape narratives, influence social norms, and drive policy changes reflective of the diverse realities of people worldwide. Our work focuses on two critical areas: Media Viability and Information Integrity. Together, these pillars form the foundation of our vision for a future where resilient, independent media and reliable information prevail—essential building blocks for more informed, open, and democratic societies that respect individual rights and freedoms.

2023 has been another landmark year for RNW Media, filled with significant transitions, strategic achievements, and unwavering dedication. As we navigated the final phase of our 2021-2023 strategic journey, we embraced change, restructuring our organization to adapt to the ever-evolving (digital) media landscape while staying focussed on our goal: by 2030, through digital media, 1 billion young people can make informed decisions, advance their rights and positively affect their societies.
